Introduction

Un col de chemise bleue désigne un ensemble de projets interconnectés ayant pour point de départ un flux de fragments de texte. De ces fragments, surgissent ensuite performances, visualisations graphiques et éditions.

Introduction 

A blue shirt collar refers to a set of interconnected projects. They are all based on a corpus of text fragments. From these fragments occur performances, charts and publications.

Fragments

Un col de chemise bleue est le récit de la vie quotidienne, amoureuse, familiale, d’un jeune artiste qui écrit, mêle ses obsessions aux petites et grandes choses qu’il observe, à l’œil nu ou au travers d’un écran. Le texte est un flux de fragments qui dresse un autoportrait hachuré et qui met en évidence la difficulté de communiquer, de se comprendre et d’exister, un rapport au monde singulier.

Fragments

The narration of A blue shirt collar is about the everyday, romantic, family life of a young artist who writes. He combines his obsessions to little things observed on his own or through his smartphone screen. The text is a flow of fragments drawing a compound self-portrait. It highlights the difficulty of communicating, being understood and existing in a conventional society.

Performances

Une sélection d’environ 35 fragments issus du texte Un col de chemise bleue est lue dans un dispositif lumineux et intimiste. Dos au mur, je me fonds dans la lumière projetée de formes blanches. Ces formes varient en fonction des fragments lus. La performance s’ouvre et se clôt sur une cible projetée au mur et qui semble dire « vous êtes ici », comme sur un plan de quartier à la sortie du métro. Cette cible se remplit et se vide de lumière blanche ; la mise au point se fait, et se défait.

Performances

A selection of about 35 fragments from the A blue shirt collar text is read in a luminous and an intimate scenography. My back against the wall, I melt into the white shapes of the projected light. These shapes vary depending on the read fragment. The performance opens and ends on a circular target on the wall. It seems to say “you are here” like a map at the exit of the subway. The target fills and empties itself with white light, the focus is done, then undone.

Graphiques

Afin de comprendre ce sur quoi j’écris, j’ai représenté graphiquement et statistiquement le texte Un col de chemise bleue. Les cellules du graphique représentent les fragments selon leur longueur et sont coloriés selon les « thèmes » dans lesquels ils ont été classé.

Charts

To understand what I’m writing about, I represent graphically and statistically the text A blue shirt collar. The cells of the chart represent the fragments according to their lenghts and are colored according to the “theme” they were sorted in.

Édition

En vue de ma soutenance de diplôme de fin d’études, je décide de compiler en une édition tous les fragments écrits, ainsi que le graphique qui les représente.

Publication

In preparation for my final examination, I decide to compile all written fragments as well as the chart which represents them in a publication.
