Introduction

Ce chapitre réunit deux projets dans lesquels la pop star mondiale Madonna, que l’on ne présente plus, tient un rôle totémique. Ils s’intitulent In Bed With Madonna et Rebel Heart Tour Journal. Le premier est une vidéo d’environ 7 minutes et le second un récit de 240 pages et accompagné d’une dizaine d’illustrations. Bien que traités différemment et à deux ans d’intervalle (2014 et 2016), ces projets posent tous deux cette simple question : à quoi ressemblerait le quotidien de l’artiste s’il était engagé par Madonna, qui deviendrait alors à la fois sa patronne, sa consœur, sa muse, son amie et même sa confidente ? L’artiste derrière le fan s’emploie à répondre à cette question, imaginant la rencontre avec son idole et les expériences artistiques, initiatiques et humaines qu’il partagerait avec elle.

Introduction

This chapter gathers two projects where the pop star Madonna (no need to introduce her) stars as a figurehead. They are titled In Bed With Madonna and Rebel Heart Tour Journal. The first is a 7-minute-video and the last a two forty hundred-page-story along with tens illustrations. Even though conceived differently and two years apart (2014 and 2016), they are both trying to answer the same question: what would look like the artist daily life if he was taken in charge by Madonna, who would become at the same time his boss, his colleague, his muse, his friend, and even his confidante? The artist behind the fan applies himself to answer the question, dreaming up the meeting with his idol and imagining the artistic, initiatory and human experiences he would share with her.
